Vaginal self-sampling for HPV testing is highly acceptable among Malaysian women. It is the preferred choice as a primary cervical screening method and serves as an alternative to healthcare-acquired sample for Pap test.

J Clin Virol 2020 – Saville M. et al.

Self-collection for HPV-based cervical screening shows good concordance and relative sensitivity when compared to practitioner collected samples across assays in the National Cervical Screening Program.
